HI

I don't do much rendering, so only know the basics.

I have an urgent job and would really appreciate any tips for quickly creating attractive imagery.

Photo realism isn't the aim, but professional or even a little arty-farty would be good.

I have Revit 2017, and GIMP for post production and no  budget for anything further!

Tips on lighting, textures, entourage and any post production techniques would be very helpful.

Also, I need plants that look a litttle more wild than manicured,if anyone can suggest specific recommendations for this within the standard or other free libraries.

Thank you,

Spacey.

Download ENscape3D (http://enscape3d.com/) . It generates a live rendered model direct from your Revit model. Provided you have given everything the correct material finishes, it should come out a treat. You can adjust sun settings ( time of day) and shift things live in the revit model and enscape will update for you moments later. There's a 14 day free trial.Minimal post shopping required.

No waiting around for renders to finish.

Oh and google "CS2 Photoshop" for a free (albiet older) version of Photoshop. Gimp is sh%te.

Thanks.

I'll have a look at that.

I also found a helpful collection of tutorials which is worth sharing:
