Hello forum !

My name is Brad, I'm from South Africa and I want to draw on Revit !

I can not believe the difference compared to AutoCAD.. makes it seem so out phased and completey inferior to other CAD softwares. After drawing on AutoCAD for quite some time now, I've done mostly mechanical work on Autocad but I feel that architecture is the way forward for me so Revit it is ! In South Africa there's a high demand for Revit draughtsmen, so I need to make this transition and never look back to Autocad !

I've had a look at the downloads there's seems to be everything that one can think of. After installing Revit 2015 I had to go about to reinstall some of the templates/families that didn't install the first time. Now I have the families and most of the templates but I don't have the architecture template that sound be below Open and New folders when Revit is opened. I can't seem to find this file anywhere to download, could someone help me out a bit ?

‘Architectural Template’ on the recent file screen is just a name that you can set to whatever you want and it is associated with the default.rte by default. See the table in ‘R’->Options->File Locations or hover your mouse over the ‘Architectural Template’ name for a few seconds.

My name is Mike, Im from South Africa, I hav been using revit since 2016 to desing plans for Building, Electrical, Hvac, Fire plans, Structuarl plan, Plumbing, Technical Plans,  Desinged furniture and lauouts of shops, Pharmacies, Warehouses and Homes and equipment. Name it, I have done it from scratch. Building Families beacuase my employer wont pay for the full version.  I have learnt everything  on my own. Creating walk throughs and visual modeling of complete sites to get renters to buy in.

Still work for nothing. and find this very frustrating

Is there no one that could use my skill for a decent wage?????
