I have a family that is wall based with a generic annotation nested in with it to display a symbol in plan in the project. The problem I'm having is that when the model sits above the cut plane, the annotation that's loaded into the family also disappears. If the model is being cut by or sits below the cut plane, everything works fine. My question is basically if there is a way to have the annotation show up even if the model that the annotation is loaded into is sitting above the cut plane. I've attached an example of the family in question so you can see what I'm working with. I appreciate any help that is provided.

If the family is non-cuttable, you can place a vertical invisible line in the family that will intersect your view cut plane, then the entire family will show.

Is the only way to make a family not cuttable is to change its category? Thanks for the response

Yes ... but we are talking about your wall based family, not the nested family.  Is that also generic?

It is generic but can be changed if necessary to get the family to function the way I want.
