Need to estimate how much time you've spent on your Revit project? I run a small firm, and time tracking in a project is an important part of my daily work flow. Frustrated by the lack of a time tracking feature in Revit, I decided to create my own. If you're runnning Windows 10, you can get a copy of the universal app here: https://www.microsoft.com/store/apps/9NBLGGH4VZNX

$.99 is a good buy. On the autodesk site is a free, trial app - I don't know what all it does- says Contains tools like job-time tracker

Thanks! I have looked into the software you mentioned, but it was around 200 USD. I've used a version of this in-house for over a year and a half, and just decided to release it. At my firm, we sometimes round our time, so I implemented that in the tracker as well. I can also see how much time a specific user has worked on a project.

I know that users have been asking for something that would do this ever since I started here so hopefully, your app will work for them.
I jump around so much and have so many projects open that I don't think any automatic method would work for me. I open my backup folder and read my save times to help me. But even then, it is not accurate because I often postpone saves. (Sometimes too long for my own good.)
Good luck with the app.

I know how you feel. BTW, the app will allow for those of us who are always postponing saves. You can input what your save interval is in set to in Revit, and any time span longer than the save interval is not calculated.

I got so excited and don't have Windows 10!
Earlier this week I found a free Revit Add-In for this as well, but it only works for 2014 even though it says 2016, and we just upgraded to 2016... *sigh*
Figure I should contribute the link to this thread for anyone else who doesn't have Windows 10 and is using Revit 2014: https://apps.autodesk.com/en/Detail/Index?id=1962327837807786506&appLang=en&os=Win32_64

Good news for all non-windows 10 users! I've ported the RevTime app to the Chrome Web Store. You can get it here https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/revtime/hpoaenpmdhjhphclcohkhnfenpnjgofm
