Does any easier way to convert a model view to a drafting view?

I'd like to create all "standard details" in drafting views, if the Autodesk can develop a way to convert the model view to a 2D drafting view, just as it does for creating DWG files, it would be much easier to Revitalize our detail library.

Have you tried the 'Freeze Drawing' tool?

Essentially the freeze drawing app simply exports to CAD which you can do manually.   The problem is that it is a CAD file.   If you explode that in your project, you get all the CAD crap.  If you want to create standard Revit detail, clean up these files in a program by revitizing them, then save the detail.

Thanks for both.

That is what I am looking for, to avoid the CAD craps.

Also, I will be able to create some isometrics from 3D views with proper Revit materials Cryingnot CAD 3D) into our detail library, which is the strength of the Revit.

If you want 3D views with materials, then it must be model views - not detail.  If these will be something you place in models, use a group.   Those can be stored in your library and brought into any model.

That's why I posted this thread in the WISHLIST.

I wish all those can be in drafting views for easier to copy and paste onto sheets.
