Does anyone have advice for using a mass to create both curtain system and floors? I'm running into a Revit limitation where I've built my mass to represent the edges of slab. I then create curtain system comonents that have the desired offset from the edge of slab since I don't want Revit to create overlapping elements. However, this approach destroys any possibility of joining the corners of the curtain system correctly since the edge of the curtain system do not extent to join to themselves. Weak Revit. I'm not seeing any way to overcome this without having to create a seperate mass. I had hoped that I could use the same face representing the slab edge boundary to be used as the curtain wall. Let me know if you have a good process for this because it would be awesome if revit could do this. Cheers.

Why are you using a mass? Please explain with some images.

Why not? Short answer; I want to explore using the mass as the basis for constructing the building elements and have global parametric control over the form. Additionally, I want to investigate the process in a way that could inform more computationally based form generation done using dynamo, etc. I'm hoping to uncover a fully BIM design and delivery process. Here are some images:

Mass based elements vs normal has always been problematic in the past. They may have changed (maybe improved) some of these functions but in the past, you had to edit the mass to edit your element. It appears that you still have the same problem.
You don't have to use a mass to successfully use dynamo.

Yeah that's the issue. I understand the fact that you don't necessarily need an understanding of the mass to use dynamo, but boy how helpful it is! Generating form geometry and hosting building elements is critical for complex application. Especially in the case of generating curtain walls that you don't always want to be made up of adaptive components. Looks like Revit has left me a little high and dry here, so I'll have to abandon this effort for now. Thanks for your feedback!
