Hi everyone, i'm new here and I hope the community is able to help me with some construction problems.
I use Revit Architecure 2012 and I'm trying to create a circular helipad. The only thing thas has been impossible for me is the safety net that surrounds it. I need it to be like a chain link fence with a tilt that almost makes it look like it's lying on the ground. Pretty much like the image Im posting, but circular.
I hope anyone can help me!

I would make a generic family by the following process:1) In plan draw reference lines to plan out where the segment needs to go.
2) In plan extrude a 100mm thick square larger than the required segment area you need.
3) cut a section through it and rotate to the angle you need.
4) Go back to plan and use a void to cut the edges of 2 opposing sides to create the angled edges that join to the neighbouring mesh.
5) Create a material by setting the transparency to 70 to 100%. Give the material a pattern that matches the mesh type you need. a 50 x 50 grid may do for now. If you are going to need to render it, set render textures based on mesh textures from OOTB revit.
6) Delete all reference planes. Purge and import into your project ( or parent family)
7) Place it correctly in x/y/z. Copy and rotate to all the other segment positions.

An easier process.
- Do a circular, in-place sweep whose profile is a thikn 'leaning' rectangle.
- Assign your 'fence' mataerial. Earlier releases hat a chain-link fence material similar to what I used for the railing shown below.
- Posts would be a seperate element
If you want the 'fence' to drape like it might, use a blend instead of the sweep. Top and bottom sketches would be more or less a cloverleaf.
