I followed Mr Spot's tutorial on cutting out profile of stairs onta a curved wall, but ran into a snag. The void cut the wasll jsut fine, but when I want to finish the Mass, I got a message saying that the Void was not cutting anything. So I couldn't save the Mass... if I drew in a new mass and cut it with a void, it worked, but of course I lose the wall construction, sweeps, etc. Anyone run into this problem?

Did you use the cut geometry tool to tell the void to cut the wall before finishing the mass?
And are you creating the in-place void as a wall category family? as this is the correct method.

That was it! I was creating a new mass, not a wall. Thanks. btw, I used a simple extrusion instead of all the reference lines, and it worked as well.
