Is there a way to create a family and control the geometry without seeing all of the parameters in the revet project?
2D detail item, say you have a box controlled by 2 parameters H & W.
Now say you want to round the corners of this box and you want the radius to be 10% of H.
Normally I would create a parameter for the radius and place my formula there, easy enough but
how can I hide this extra parameter from the user after they have loaded the family into revit since they do not need
to see it?
This is a simple example, it would be nice not to show a large list of parameters to the user.
Thanks

hey rgkjr,
I was actually reading something on this recently. There is a way to create a shared parameter file that contain parameters that can be hidden within the project environment but visible in the family editor.
See this guide by "The Fluffy Kitten"

Ok, I figured it out.
Make a family with all of the parameters you want.
Make the parameters you want to show to the user "instance" parameters then nest this one into a final family and connect
the shared parameters all of the others are controlled in the background.
