Hi

I know it's a basic task, but this ones is beating me at present.  I have made up a SIPS wall construction then added a western cedar timber cladding (BIM store) to the face of the wall which is a present separate to the SIPS wall.

For some simple reason I cannot cut the window openings out or bring the window forward to show through, as it will not allow me.

Do I have to attach the claddingto the wall component some how or is there a different way to do this.

Any tips would be most appreciated as only just starting out with Revit (2013).

Or links to videos/posts.

Many thanks

Use the join tool and join the two walls.

Hi, thanks.

The cladding is classed as a curtain wall and doesn't allow me.  It talks about add and remove segments.

Is it easier to form a new wall component somehow?

I think yo are meant to use empty panels in curtain walls somehow to make the opening, I will try and find out how.

Sorry - you did not say this was a curtain wall.   I don't think using a curtain wall for panelized walls is a good process.
