Just look in the downloads and when you find what you read, read the screen and follow the instructions. Downloads download to your computer - not directly into Revit.

For awhile now any downloads I get from here Revit cannot find. I get the error "Families\(name of downloaded family).rfa File Not Found. Please Verify the correct file name was given." I have verified and tried this over and over with several different families from lights to electrical meters to lightning rods, nothing at all downloaded from here can be found by Revit (2017). Has anyone encountered this problem?
Thanks!

Revit city downloads do not directly load into Revit, you download to your system (save) then find and insert the family like you would any other family.

Correct, that's exactly what I've done, but still get the same error message. The zip file I download is always the same filename, I just overwrite the previous zip containing the last family I downloaded, then extract to my family folder. When I then go to Insert to insert the family, the error message comes up when I select the file I've downloaded.

So after unzipping the file, you see a file that looks like xxx.rfa and that is what you are loading? It has to have the correct revit family extension.
It would help if you point us at the specific download you are having problems with.

Sure, I'll give you the last three I tried, but any family will do this to me:
https://www.revitcity.com/downloads.php?action=view&object_id=3481
https://www.revitcity.com/downloads.php?action=view&object_id=2001
https://www.revitcity.com/downloads.php?action=view&object_id=13592
In detail, here is what happens; when I download the .rfa zip file, the zip file is always downloaded as 709654.zip regardless of the family downloaded. Once I extract that folder to my family folder, I then open revit, and try to insert the family into my local file for design. When I select the file to insert, I get the message "Revit Families\709654\(name of family).rfa File Not Found. Please verify the correct file name was given." I will then move this downloaded family out of the 709654 folder into the Revit Family folder, same result. Pretty much no families here I'm able to use right now, if you have any suggestions I really appreciate it!!

Correct, but I have to download using .rfa cart, the families never download themselves when I try. I will keep trying other methods to get the families downloaded, or will go to another revit model site.

I have never heard the term 'rfa cart'. I have no problems downloading. Perhaps after clicking on the 'download now', you do not follow the screen instructions: "If your browser is opening the file up as a text file, right click the link and select "Save Target As".... Where the link is the 'click here'.

Downloading does not work for me, when I hit the 'Download now' option nothing happens at all, and on the next screen where the option to download if nothing happens after 15 seconds is present, all I get is a screen of jumbled text and code, nothing ever goes to my download folder. I am left having to use the 'Add .rfa File to Zip Cart' that is to the right of 'download now', that is what I am referring to the rfa cart, the shopping cart that holds all .rfa files for extraction when downloading doesn't work. I hope that clarifies what I'm doing......
