Quite Lenghty so i apologize.
We did schematic and design development of a house in Sketchup. Building it in Revit for CD's and ive encountered a problem with my roof. We have an "architectural piece" for a roof but it slopes in two directions with no ridge, so using defines slope is out because it adds a ridge. Ive tried to use the slope arrow but it doesnt do it correctly. Next step was creating a Generic Model adaptive, creating the roof face then adding the roof by selecting roof by face, but it added edges. Does anyone have any idea how to get this darn thing to work easily. Attached are photos. First file is the the sketchup model with the direction of the roof slope. Second is my generic model adaptive roof face with the added lines in yellow which i guess are edges.

To dfine a roof slope in revit properly you must have the line defining the slop perpendicular to the direction of the slope. in the section of roof you are curently trying to define therre are no edges that are perpendicular to the slope. Try spliting the roof into two pieces using a line perpendicular to slope at some point and then join and align the roofs afterwards. You could also use a mass and then do a roof by face.

marmiketin1, whenever you select two sides to have a slope it automatically adds a break line. I just need it to slope in two directions something apparently revit cannot do without creating edge lines

The roof arrow slope can be place in any direction edge to edge. See attached.

Yes, look at the attached image where I added spot elevations to the roof.
Note - getting this to work correctly is not easy. You have to find where that line should be and what the elevations should be.

I decided to add a couple of images to show how to control this roof. In this case, I want a roof that slopes 1/2" / 12".
In the left image you will see that I changed where the slope arrow went to, the circle line, and I changed the height at the head to be 16" to give me 1/2" / 1' over the 40' I laid out with a circle.
In the right image, you see the spot elevations and the roof slope done with the roof slope tool.

Ya i got all my heights that i need but how did you make it slope in two directions with one slope arrow? did you take the arrow across from one corner to the other?
EDIT JUST SAW YOUR SECOND POST
