May I ask:
The "Cased opening" family does not seem to work in my 2013 version.
How should a person draw a cased opening?
Is there a way to make the door only disappear? or other?
Thank you very much!

Best solution - find one that does work. Why doesn't yours work.
To quickly create a 'cased opening' family:
- open a single flush door family,
- do a save as xxxx cased opening
- delete the door leaf model element
- delete the door panel and door swing annotation lines
- delete the threshold lines if any
- save then load into your project.
