does anyone know how to make millwork/casework show up with a hatch in plan view only?
I want this to be a global change in my project, if possible
I am working in Revit 2015
thanks!

Revit will display these families as you have told it to. Casework is cuttable so in plan view, you can build your casework families to show model elements according to their material properties and if the element is cut or in projected view. Or if you have built your family to turn off model elements in a plan view and show annotative lines and fill patters, Revit will do that.
