hello all,
I have a structural revit model linked into an arch model. I'm setting up some section views, in which I'm
customizing the visibility of the various elements of the linked revit model, however there is a certain category in the
linked model, that I cannot seem to be able to change, and I cant tell why....tried everything I can think of short
of using the linework-override tool as a last resort to change the lines, but I would like to avoid that, since I have
the same condition showing in multiple sections in the project....so if I can get it to work w/ category-related changes
it would be great.
The category in question is a structural framing joists....neither the projection or cut linework is not changing color (red)
is what I want as the other elements, and neither the hatch of the cut joist.....oddly, the non-cut/surface hatch is the
only thing that does seem to change color to red.
see attached.....any help would be greatly appreciated...
PS: using revit arch 2016

You may not be looking in the correct category. If you are turning everything red, then simply pick all in vg and set them to red.

hello WWHub,
actually that's what I did first....as u can see from the partial display options in VG, everything, including
the structural subcategories have their linework turned to red......also when I tab-select through the link model
to pick joists it does say "structural framing (joist)" in the proprety box.....so I assume it's that....but yea, even before
that I did turn everything to red lines....and yet, those elements (that category I should say) doesnt turn....only its
surface hatch does.....cant explain it...
I even looked at its material....just a basic concrete w/ a diagonal cut hatch pattern....nothing odd to it....
this seems to be true in all views....3d and sections....same issue...
if u have any other ideas, i'd love to hear them...

I wasn't concerned with the structural categories because ity could be detail because you also don't say if this is a linked view.
