I'm working to include some update coordinate information to my project. I have some detached models to work with to test the extent of coordination that will be required once the new coordinates are established and I'm running into a little snag. First, I started a black project and aquired coordinates from a CIVIL CAD file. I then estanblished the desired project base point relative to a corner of the property lines for the project. I then linked in a detached version of the project I'm looking to update, and published the coordinates to that file and saved it. When I open the detached file to inspect whether the coordinates are now updated, they are, but only almost. The coordinates published approximately 1ft off in one direction. Huh? I can move the base point to the right location after the fact, but that is dumb. Why would Revit flake on this? It's coming in the right location but the project base point is not inherting the desired coordinates accurately. Frustrating...

Started over with a new project and repeated the steps I mentioned and it worked. Classic.

Now I'm tracing through the other consultant models that I need to link and it's doing the same thing...only this time it aquires the coordinates incorrectly. Why close, but not all the way?

How far apart from each other are your Survey and Project Base Points?

about 1ft. The other thing I'm noticing is that with the Architectural project base point changed, the consultant models (without aquiring new coordinates), appear to link in to the correct location via Origin-to-Origin. These were also detached versions that I tried. Does that sound right?
