REVIT 2016

I am trying to transfer project standards for lineweights from an existing project to a new project.  With both projects open and New project active,

I click transfer project standards then

check line weights, click ok.   REVIT seems to think about it for a few seconds, but nothing happens.  No warnings and nothing changes.

What obvious thing am I missing?

Thanks,

JK

Hey Jill, you sure they didn't transfer? Did you verify under Manage>Additional Settings>Line Types?

Trying to get line WEIGHT to transfer, not line type.

Yes, verified.

Sorry. And I suppose you checked Line Weights as well, and did not find the Line Weight you transfered.

And, you have less than 16 Line Weights listed, right? So, you've got room to add, right?

Yes, checked line weights, they did not transfer.

I am not trying to add additional line weights - trying to transfer them to match an existing project.

Meaning if the existing project has walls cut line at weight of 7, I want to transfer walls cut line at weight of 7 to the new project.

Oh, I see. You want to transfer "Object Style", not "Line Weight" to acheive what you're trying to achieve.

Yep!  That's it!  I didn't know I wasn't asking the right question.   Thanks!
