This is probably really stupid to ask but I will charge on and risk looking like an idiot.

I am doing 2D details in Revit 2012.  To draw a line I have to:

1. Click on the Annotate tab

2. Click on the Detail Line tab

3. Click on the Line Type (straight line, radius line, etc.)

4.  Then a locate the cursor where I want it and I click to start the line drag and click to end.

5.  If I want to draw another line, I have to do all of this AGAIN!

Right clicking will not let me repeat this process.  Is there a keyboard short cut or something like

the old autocad "hit space bar to repeat last command" available?

In 2015, my right clicking will automatically repeat the line with my previously chosen linetype.   This may not have been available in 2012.

Default keyboard shortcut for a detail line is DL. You can customize your shortcuts by typing KS.

During the line command (also true for some other objects), you can put a check mark by the ‘chain’ option on the options bar to continuously draw line segments from the end of the previous one. If you want to start a line somewhere else, hit the ‘escape’ key once (hitting twice will end the line command) and continue a line in the location of your choice.
