Hi everybody!!
I think I am going to become MAD after being the whole day trying to model a stair by component.
You can see the attached image. This is a stair with four runs. nothing unusual. When I finish the first run and I begin with the second run, it ALWAYS appear the error message that says that "can't mak stairs". If I expand to see what the error is, there is no useful explanation.
I please ask you for your opinion, because I think that am modelling the stairs correctly and I do not understand where is the problem or what I am doing wrong.
Regards!

Hi everybody again,
After reading some threads in different forums, I have tried to model each run of the stair as a independent stair. After that I should model the landings one by one. I attach the image, as you can see I will model later the structural slab of reinforced concrete below the stair.
Anyway I am completely disappointed. I had to calculate BY HAND the height of the risers and the height of the runs to model each individual stair.
This is not BIM, this is not useful, this is time consuming and it is not saving me work but giving me more work to do.
I would appreciate if anynone can share a better solution with the forum, beacuse I am sure that there is a more reasonable way to face this problem.
Regards

Hi everybody,
I managed to solve the problem on my own. I share with you what I think was the error, because maybe it could help other people facing the same problem in the future.
I realized that it was impossible to create the second run of stairs because of the nosing of the steps. It prevented the second run to link with the first one. Once I changed the definition of the stair for one without nosings, I couls model the whole stair with four runs in 90 degree angles whitout any problem.
Regards

Glad you figured that out. Yes, there can be no overlap / interference from stair run to landing even with the nosings.
