I created a custom profile, made sure it wasa continuous loop/ saved it into "RAILINGS"..
When I select "TOP RAIL/TYPE" my choices are
NONE, CIRCULAR 1 1/2", RECTANGULAR 2x2, and ELLIPTICAL
Where do I sav e the profile to???

Did you use the Profile - Railing template? That template automatically save the right usage. see attached

I figured it out. You can't add to the "TOP RAIL" pull down list. but you can use a regular rail (where your custom rails show up) as the TOP RAIL.
