Hi Everyone, I am currently studying Architecture and started using Revit. For my building project, I need to check whether my design meets the California building code. I know you can do it in excel manually but it takes so long, does anyone know any short cuts I could use?

You really have this backwards.   You check the code before you begin and you design to it's limitations.

Hi WWHUB,

Thank you for your response. You were right by the way, I asked my teacher. I did find something that helped me make up for my mistake. I found a plug-in for Revit which allowed me to check whether my design met the California building code after I made my design. If you want to check it out, I found it at the autodesk app store. It's called 'Spatial Requirements Assistant' and it was published by Vabi. It says you have to pay for it but if you download it you can just use it for free for one month. Thanks again for your help.
