Hi guys, I recently downloaded a BIM that is a .rte file of a garden roof: http://resources.hydrotechusa.com/resources.php?category=BIM it's the garden roof assembly intensive file
So, basicly I have no idea how to use it in my project. Can I convert it into a rfa file and use it as a roof.
I'm using Revit 2015 with latest updates.

all you need to do is to open up the rte file that has the roof type in it. it already has a roof sample drawn in the file so just select it and copy it. then open up the project you want to use the new roof family in and paste it in. it will bring over the roof family type which you can now use for any roof. it will also bring over any of the materials and fill patterns that are used.
