Dear experts;

I am placing a wall-based family at a wall, but in the plan view and sections the thinner line of this family blocks the thickest line of the wall cut line.

How ican I change this graphics behaviour? (Other than by adding thick annotative lines in the Family).

Please help.

Thanks.

Look at your VG settings for that wall based family category - both for cut and projected lines.

Thanks, WWHub.

I looked there, but Objects Styles  Cryingor VG) don't have this option. Just a projection type. I would like to:

- set up only one line type of the item - the lines where it touches the wall (in plan and section views)

or

- make thiese lines not appearing in the views.

I can't change it the family as well other than adding wide lines in plan and section of the family, and I'm not sure even about it.

If you have any ideas, I will be obliged.

 Thanks again.

If you don't see an option to set the cut line style then that is because the element is NOT CUTTABLE!  Change the projection line style..

Here are the cuttable families from YOUR HELP.

Thanks for the link. It helps.

However, I don't think that many users have cut line of Casework of the same thickness as walls' cutting line.

Is there a way to alter just ONE of cut lines?

 Best regards,

Hi David; for now, I know only this way of solving the problem (to add thick lines). But what if the item is not cut, just a plan view?

Thanks.

In any family, you can create your own new sub-category that can control lines differently from the standards for that category.  Create that new category and assign your solids to that.  If you preset the lineweight for this new sub-category it will be all set when loaded - or - change the lineweight in VG in the model.

Thank you again. As far as i went, only "adding thick lines" method works. I mean, in the family.

 Regards,

 G
