I would like to scale this family downloaded from Revit City to the size I need (approx 300mm). Apparently it's simple according to the family blurb! How please?

If the family is not parametric then you have to edit the family. Without looking, I expect this to be a CAD (skp) file import in the family. Edit the family and scale the import.

Yep, it is a cad import. From revit, export to cad, scale it and load it back to revit. Or, just use attached file (file over 2mb, so it's zipped and split into two files).
