Ok, so I finally put the 8.1 disk in (I haven't wanted to screw with moving libraries, fixing standards, etc.) because I'm collaborating with someone else who uses 8.1. I'm finding that the lineweight tool all of a sudden does a lot less. Is that on purpose, or is it an error in the upgrade process? For example, I've got some joined roofs that I need to hide the join line in an iso view and in plan and the lineweight tool won't do anything. It doesn't highlight the line that I want to change or anything. I didn't unload 8.0, so I went back and tried it on an older save (the current file is now 8.1), and it worked just like it always did... the only thing left to do is white-out on the final print... Any ideas? Thanks

Hmm, Going back a while now. Vaguely remember the differences between 8.0 and 8.1. However there was no reduced functionality in the linework tool. Is this in a perspective view or isometric? I'm having no problems using the linework tool in either. Are you sure the roofs are joined. Try using the join geometry tool in 8.1 and rejoining the two roofs to make sure you are getting a proper edge to work with. Then try using the linework tool again. HTH.

I should be able to use the lineweight tool on the edges regardless of whether or not the roofs are joined, right? This is in an iso and the roof plan view. Maybe it's just an installation issue. It seems to work correctly in the sections and not great on plans or iso's.
