How do I get the door jambs to show in plan view? In my CBS construction plans I must dimension to the edge of the block, not to the edge of the door or the centerline of the door. Do I have to create this as a separate type of door?

You need to create new door families with an actual frame drawn as you want it to appear.

yea the best is to create special families w/ reference plans where you want the dimension.
or take the doors u already have - increase the detailing level of your plan - and use "tab" to change the line cathed in Dimension command.
thanks
