Hello.

I have old building scanned with laser and then model made in revit. The model is not accurate (not perpendicualr walls, not same windows etc.) and I want it to remain like that. But when I draw a new wall near to existing they join with each other and stretch. When I delete the new one the old don't come back to its original position. How can I block the existing model? I made group of it, I pinned it. Nothing helps. I dont want to link it because during my work I demolish some elements and sometimes I have to "undemolished" them.

What should I do?

Sorry for my english.

Regards.

The only thing I can suggest is to place your new wall close to the existing, then turn off the wall join and drag the end to the existing wall.

…and if you’re working on 2016 R2, you can select disallow join option right on the option bar while in the wall command. Revit will remember the selection next time you place a wall. A great time saver.

Pozdrawiam.

It seems like it's the only solution. I hoped there's other way. It would be very useful option:/

THX.
