Hello all,
we've got around 15 Revit stations. 3 of them like to crash when you hit CTRL-P. So not when selecting a particular printer but immediately when trying to get into the print menu.
In general all of the workstations are:
• Intel XEON E5-1620v2 @ 3,7GHz
• 16GB of RAM- Samsung EVO SSD (with enough free space)
• Graphic cards: Some are Quadro K2200, some are Geforce GTX 980. (The problem is occuring on both type of videocards)
They all are part of a domain. They all have the same printers installed. In general a PDF printer, a plotter, 2 printers. The 2 printers are divided into multiple printers with predefined print criteria.
What have we tried yet:
• Repair Revit
• Reinstall Revit
• Making sure they are up to date
• Vector/raster printing
• Update graphic drivers
• Disable virus scan software
Does anyone have any ideas left? Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks all!
Jeroen

When you start the print process, there is a default printer that is looked for. Change that or/and check that printer driver.

Thanks WWHub,
just made this setting on 4 computers. It turns out more and more PC's crash on plotting, only most users do not repost this. They curse and continue
In a couple of hours we will know if this works...
Thanks!

One more thing to check.
My default printer is Adobe PDF, when a printing file has an error in the printer, that creates the problem.
I have to manually delete the documents from the printer, then re-start my computer.

Hi all,
still no luck. Problem keeps getting back. Multiple users can't print drawings. Sometimes Revit crashes on CTRL-P, and after a restart they are able to print. But sometimes after 6-7 crashes they decide to create a PDF, and print that PDF.
Very frustrating.
Does anyone have anything I can try?
Thanks!

Sorry - This is a hardware, network, or driver problem - not really a Revit issue.
Look at it from the IT side.

WWhub, you were right.
We completely uninstalled ALL plotter drivers and scripts. Reinstalling them fixed the crashing.
Now to find out how to add the custom paper sizes once again...
Thanks for helping!
