Hello All,

I would like to introduce into my Revit model a property of the beam, which gives that exact beam a number. It is important for me, because I may use a couple of beams within one family and in the same time I would like to have another number for them (for schedule). Just to know about which element exactly we are taking about. Anyone could help me with that?

In case, that my message is not clear, I enclose image of what exactly I am looking for.

Regards.

PS I am using Revit 2016.

Sorry but you will not be able to do this in the family environment.  Maybe you should look at groups.  Groups are portable between projects and can be saved in your library.

Could you please be more accurate? Even if I will group those beams, they will give me total length, while I need contradistinction betweeen each beam.

Achieving this aim is important for me, the way "how" it's going to be fulfilled not so much.

Almost everything in Revit can be assigned a mark number so it can be identified in schedules.   Use it.
