I have a model I have been working on for several months. I now wish to enable worksharing but I get the following message when I try to activate worksets.

'Element 1921001 became corrupt at some time before this session.'

Then it asks me to save a recovery file. I select ok, but it crashes before this is completed.

When I reopen the file, which otherwise seems to work fine, I try a search for this element (Select by ID) and it says 'the following Element IDs are invalid and won't be used.

Any suggestions?

Also when I try to perform an Audit on the file I get the following message

'an unrecoverable error has occurred. The program will now be terminated. All of your data has been recently saved, so there is no need to create recovery files.'

There are occasions when the only thing you can do is send the file to autodesk.

The elements could be burried in a sketch in which case the ID will not locate it.

If the file is not annotated, you might try linking the file in a new file then binding into a new file then auditing.
