Hello,
I have created a few mass roofs in my project to achieve a custom roof profile in Revit 2015.   See attached image.) I started by creating a mass in model and then converted it into a solid mass roof. However I cannot select the roofs when I go to attach my walls with the "Attach Top/Base" command. Any idea how to do this?
Thanks,
Megan

If you had used the standard model in-place tools and assigned the family to roof category, then the attach tool works.

Maybe I didn't assign it as a roof properly. I assigned it in the properties dialogue box when I clicked "Edit in Place" in the Modify Tab. This was after I already built the mass. It was originally defaulted as a floor.

I rarely ever use a mass except in the conceptual enviroment. So I don't know what problems occur with switching.
I simply start the model-in-place process and set my category first. I know that works in this instance because I tested it to make sure.

How do you set the category? Are you using the "in place mass" tool? I can't seem to make it a roof and not the default floor.

When you start a model-in-place family, the family category interface pops up automatically.
