- I have a contractor who decided today, after the drawings were complete to raise the plate height of the building up by one foot. All of my sections and elevations are in 2D detail lines and regions over the model. Many parts of the model are hidden.
- I tried to pin everything in the 3d model then go to the 2D elevations select and move, but no luck. Because I end of grabbing the model behind everything. It says items are pinned and won't just move the ones that are not pinned. GRRRRR

Looks like you took a big learning hit but this will be helpful for the future. If you model well, then by using edit cut profile, the linework tool and just a few detail elements, you can have real model sections. Something to look at in the future. This is the only way we do wall and building sections as well as some details. Let the model do your work.
For now, I suggest you
- open up each view, turn off the model (although you say it is off) window the detail elements including linework and unpin. Over use of pinning is a common user problem. Pay attention to your selection filter to do this.
- Once you have gotten rid of all your pins, you can move your model elements up.
- Now go back into your views and window the elements that needed to move and move them up as a unit.
Good luck next time.

The FILTER, AWESOME....works great.
Thank you!
I would love to model more to create sections and less work, however, it just takes so much time......I don't have this down to a science yet. But I am getting better.
Thank you again. May see me more as I tackle more modeling.
