Using Revit 2015. Trying, desperately, to make a linear pendant that is a wall washer. I've tried everything I can think of...attempted to rotate the light source (using the rectangular option so it grows with the different size types), creating a solid extrusion to block the light on have the fixture... I didn't think any of these were good options to begin with and of course none of them worked.
Any other options I might be overlooking? I've made can wall washers with good success...i just can't tilt the direction of the light in the rectangular option and I think that's what I need to do. Tricks or tips??
Thanks!

Your light angle settings are set in properties - see image.

Thanks, however I don't see that option for the light source I need. I'm using Rectangular / Hemi Spherical and I can't find any properties that will change the rotation. I need a long linear light (not wanting hot spots or scallops). Any other tricks that might work?

Open the linear light source family, uncheck the 'always vertical' property and nest this in a generic family set as a lighting family. Now add your controls to rotate the light source as needed.
Btw - A lot of control can be from the model elements that house your light source and you should still use that.

You mean you are using a light source like the first image.
The always vertical is available on every family - second image.

Thanks, I think I got it to work via unchecking that box...it's at least closer to what the final intent is so I'm on my way - thanks. I'm still trying to figure out Revit lighting...it seems to make little sense when you get into rendering. But maybe that's just me.
And no clue why it posted my last comment twice...really weird. Thanks for the help!
