It doesn't work because you are using the wrong family.  Where did you get that family?

A lot of families are posted here by users .... We do not test how these families perform so some may not work well.  In addition in regards to vegetation families, many of those were built using the original 'accurender' engine that Revit had in it.  Those families no loger work with the later Revit editions.

You don't say what family it was that you downloaded so I can't check it out.   You will have to open the family and look at it.   In addition, if it is a type based family, you have to have the type catalog on your system, not just the family.

the tress are all older files (2009 and eraliaer)

i attached some examples for trees with the problem.

None of those trees will render correctly so why use them?

Did you look at the stock trees?

1. I need abstract trees this time. not well-detailed or RPC trees.

2.What are the stock trees?

Massing and Site Tab / Site Component / Load Family / Planting / RPC Tree - ????  Like 6 clicks....

Place it and look at it.
