I am running into an issue getting spaces to create from architectural rooms in the basement. The structural model includes all exterior walls at this level with the architectural model having only interior walls. The architect formed rooms utilzing both model elements.
For example, interior rooms are only architectural walls, and when I create spaces from the linked models, they work as expected, no issues. The perimeter rooms include a mixture of structural and architectural walls to form the boundaries of the rooms. These are where I am having issues.
I have ROOM BOUNDING checked on both linked models and I can get the SPACE to visually fill the same area as the architect's room, but I cannot get the room name/number to transfer. It shows up as UNOCCUPIED. The rooms that are fully formed by architectural walls work fine. All other floors are fine since they too are based solely on the architect's walls.
Is this a limitation of REVIT, that a SPACE cannot be created from a combination of two linked models? I know I can ask the architect to include room boundary lines which should solve this, but we are talking about a campus of 17 buildings that we are doing and I don't want to create extra work for them if its not needed.
