I am trying to create a View Title with adjustable grips for the surrounding linework so that I can pull the box out to the right to match the length of each view similar to a line based family. Is there a way to accomplish this? I tried inserting a line based detail into the family in creation but it was not complatable in the view title family template.

We have never been able to do what you want with view titles. The only adjustable one was the built in line title. (I don't believe this has changed in 2016 either)
We build multiple sized View Titles based on Types.

Do you know if there is a way to modify the extension line so it is a box instead of a line?
