Is there a way to embed an image (not link it) into a Revit family file? I am creating a new A4 titleblock and need my company's logo on it, on the A1 template it is a filled region but cannot scale down (line is too short error). Using a .bmp solves this issue but means the image is lost and replaced with a file path when opened on a different computer. Is there a solution to this or do I need to find a different approach?

Try following steps:
1. Click "Insert", under "Import", click "Image", select your company logo, which should be a raster image file such as .bmp, .jpg, .tif,... format.
2. Place it onto your titleblock, click that image, resize it by drag the dot at each corner, move to the proper location, just like you are doing in Word.

Thanks, that is the method I have been using though - it links the file so when opened on a different pc does not show correctly

Images are not linked in Revit. When you export a Revit file to CAD, then the embedded image is linked to the CAD file. Is that what you are doing? If so, you should have said so.
