when using model text in a project
the text is placed on the face of the reference plane which faces the viewer
(or in plan view it is between the reference plane and the viewer)
and here it is clearly visible displayed as a "ghost" at the end of the curser prior to inserting,
which to me is the logical way.
not so when in a family:
if the front elevation is selected to work in and the work plane selected is
centre front back
and when picking the modeltext button the text does not appear at the end of the curser
one is not prompted to select a work plane and one has to go to tools to set the worplane.
after inserting the text, it is visible in all views except the one you are working in
fantastic.
one way to see the text is to push it bacwards away fron the reference plane
or insert it in the back elevation as i was told by the vendor
what am i doing wrong or what is wrong with the model text?
why can't revit stick to the same method as in projects
