In plan, I have existing slabs with varying thicknesses. I've modeled each individually. From the archtects perspective the top of
concrete never changes. On my plans I want to see the change in depth but in the arch model, they want to see one solid slab with no
lines showing the thickness change. I tried to join the slabs and I unchecked common edges under floors in Visibility Graphices but the
adjcent sides are still showing. What's the best way to show all the slab lines on the structural plans and show all the slabs as one on
the arch plans? Thank you!

No matter what the thickness is, if the two floors are the same exact material and their top elevation is the same, the line will go away when you join the two floors. Since yours did not, one or both of the conditions I lsted have not been met.
