Hi,
I've got an issue with my Revit in that model elements are seeming to jump around all over the place as I zoom in and out - and never look right. Please see the attached screenshot showing what should be some circular contig piles in plan. The whole model is like this - I've struggled through so far for a day or so as I can snap to the elements and just about get things in the right place, but it's getting too frustrating now! I've seen this kind of thing before with linked in CAD files - which I normally strip right down to just lines, text, circles etc with no blocks, XRefs, hatch patterns, polylines, solids or anything too complex for Revit to handle but this is the first time I've seen it affect model elements in the Revit model as well. Does anyone know what's causing this? And if so, what can I do about it? I've tried updating graphics card driver (NVidia Quadro K600 - a bit old, I know, but should be OK) turning off hardware acceleration, but have had no improvement so far...
As always, any help will be gratefully received.
Simon.

Sorry but we just don't know enough about your system, your model. Have you got all updates installed? Was it 5 or 6 for 2014?
This may be a graphics card issue.

Hi - thanks for replying,
My system's fairly basic (Dell Precision T-1650, 64 bit, Intel Xeon 3.4GHz processor, 8Gb RAM, 500Gb hard drive, approx half full), but I've been using it for about 6 months now and only previously had this jerky odd behaviour with linked CAD files (which is pretty normal if they're not stripped down as mentioned before) This should really rule out the graphics card issue possibility too - the project I've got the issue on is a new one and still quite small so far.
I've got all 3 of the Update Releases installed, and I don't get the same thing with any other, larger models. It's also happening when I spin view or zoom in/out in 3D views - for example rectangular RC columns' edges 'wobble' about all over the place and look like irregular trapezoidal shapes. I've removed all CAD files but it's still the same. I've also tried upgrading the model to 2015 but no improvement there either...

I’ve had this before – is your model a long way from 0,0?
I’ve had a lot of graphical problems with when that happens, here’s a better description of the problem:

Also do you have a lot of DWGs loaded? – if possible only have the DWG you require at the time loaded to work with.
If this is the case the way around it is shared coordinates (explained below):

Sorry - this may not be much use if you have already started annotation etc. as you will probably have to restart the model (or at least copy what elements you can from it to a new one)
Hope this helps
