I'm having trouble viewing lighting fixures that are at different ceiling heights in my model. I have tried changing the top of my plan view and the cut plane, essentially bringing up the height of my view and then putting the cut plane through the lights, but then I can't see my doors and windows, which I want to be able to see. I feel like I should be able to see the fixtures as long as I put my top height above the fixtures, and the cut plane shouldnt really matter, This genereally works in other models of mine. I have also turned off the ceilings and floors to help with visibility, but I'm still having trouble.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!
Garrett

In the past I have been able to just use a duplicate floor plan view, which is nice becuase I have it set up to look exactly how I want, so I would just as soon not re set that up in the ceiling plans. The ceiling plan works, but I was just wondering why I couldn't figure out how to do what I have done in the past.

Using a floor plan is really not typical and I would never do that. You should be able to get exactly what you want with a RCP.
I don't know what lights you used in your old process or how you had it set up. If you were above the bottom of the ceiling, you would have had to have the ceiling set as transparent. And ... any face based lights you would add would be on the wrong side of the ceiling.

Ok, my last qustion would then be how to get staris to show up. They're checked in the visibility window, and I've got underlays on so I can see the rest of the vanities, cabs etc.

Only the outline of stairs are shown in an RCP - no treads. That is normally enough because - after all- it is a 'refective' view.

Another thought occurs, can I only see my outlets if they're are set above the cut plane? If I have them set at the normal height I can't see them, but if I set the cut plan lower things like the washer and dryer which I want to see in my electrical plan get in the way of lighting fixtures
