Hi all.
I did an imort cad of a sat file and I am having problems displaying what I want to display.
When in an elevation everything woks fine. If I adjust the far clip offset it cuts my sat file and lets me see up to the far clip offset and nothing beyond. Awesome.
When in a plan view I see the whole sat file. Its a tower that is a 100 feet tall. Im in a plan view and I dont want to see all the way to the top. I just want to see my tower 5 feet above my plan view. Adjusting the view range changes nothnig. I set the cut plane and top to 5 feet but I still see the whole 100 feet of my tower.
Anyone know how I can cut my tower in a plan view like I can do it in an elevation view with the far clip offset?
Thanks.

Try using a scope box.

Thanks WWHub but I tried the scope box as you suggested but it did not affect the sat file import I did. I could still see the whole tower in plan view.
I just dont get it. If I can cut my import in 3D view with a section box and I can also cut it in elevation view with the far clip offset, why can't I cut it in a plan view with the view range.
Anyone have any other suggestions?
