I want to make a swing indication line for my window family I am making.. To show operation. A basic revit out of the box window already has a line type called "Elevation Swing (Projection)" But in my newly made family I don't have that line style choice. I go to manage and the line styles choice is greyed out. How do I create that style in the family?

Elevation swing, elevation cut, opening, etc. are not line styles, they are subcategories. OOTB window template has already everything set up for you. If it is missing for some reason, go to manage->object styles->modify subcategories – new (lower right corner)->enter a name for your new subcategory and assign line properties.
