Can anyone explain why my handrails flatten when I try to extend them past the top or bottom riser.
I have poked around all of the property settings and nothing.
Thanks

What Revit ? We ask that you ALWAYS include that because it affects our answer. I will anser based on 2013+ .
You say handrail - not railing so I will answer about the handrail. Because the handrail is controlled seperately from the railing, uou can include an extension definition differently on each end. The problem is that this was still the old code where the extension at the bottom is flat. So, you can't use this option. Instead, you have to sketch the extension from an elevation or section view.
