Hello,
I am trying to create a family with multiple families in it using existing families that i have so i can reuse this combined family in multiple projects and i want to see what the best way to do this is. I have tried to create a family using a new family template but when i insert a component there is little flexibility to edit that component in the family template(for ex. I cannot just connect a water PRV and a hose bibb). So i started playing around with groups and assemblys instead. I ended up combining the families in a project and i saved them as an assemble. At least this way i wouldnt have to make extrusions and connector elements from scratch and the combined group/family is alot more editable. Although i am not able to save an assembly to use for multiple projects. Is ther any way so save an assembly for reuse? OR is there a better workaround for creating a combined family without haveing to actually just make it from scratch?
Thank you!
