I am trying to make a nested family for school and have been working on it for about 5 hours now. Have a parent tabletop, and 3 nested types. In the table top family I have a Leg-center-offset to track the legs relative to the table dimensions. I also have a Leg Style parameter for my different leg types. After aligning and locking to the Leg Center references and setting the offset parameter in the legs properties, I want to change the leg type. No matter what order I place in or what geometry I use (I had to dumb down a few leg designs to see what was going on) the constraints keep breaking! I need my legs to flex with the tabletop for my assignment. The most common error is 2 constraints not satisfied (the x and y "Leg Center Offset"). When I remove the constraints it usually populates the new leg style to the outside part of the table, almost mirored on its own edge it seems.
Anyway I am attatching my files, please, Please, PLEASE let me know if you may have a solution. It is due at 1: 15PM tommorow. I work 5AM to 12PM. I have maybe a 2 hour time frame to finnish up, and all I need is to alternate between leg styles! It is very frustrating to work on somthing for so long and make such little progress. Thank you SO much for taking the time to read this far and if you help me you will be a revit legend, immortalized in my nested family project for eternity! Seriously though, Thank you.
