I just downloaded "people_2d_2870" and "People_in_2d_10445".  I opened them and loaded in my current project.  When I hit the component tab all I see is the RPC people.  They showed up lying on the floor of my carport.  I kinda feel dumb for asking, but how do I insert these into my elevations and sections?

Since they are 2D, you will probably find them under details and you would place them in an elevation or section view.
