i want to add a background to my render scene.
i have gone and taken photo's of the surroundings of the actual building

Go to http://www.revitcity.com/tutorials/rpc_creator/tutorial.php
This might be of help. Also in Photoshop CS2 there is a new tool that can brush out and put things into pespective when imported. I hope this helps.

Hello..
When you want great renderings..Take you building after you have rendered it and sanpa image of it usually capture image or copy image..And then take that image into photoshop and do a layover of your photos that you took of the area..Do not try to do a wonderful rendering in Revit.
In PSCS2
It does a great job of overlays.
