Hello RevitCity users! I am currently working on a Firing Range Baffle family that I am having issues with. The baffle needs to haveparameters allowing it change height, width, and length, as well as its angle. This is where I'm having an issue. I have all my extrusions constrained to reference planes (some with locked dimensions so that as it grows/shrinks certain pieces stay the same size) and when I add in the parameter to adjust the angle Revit tells me that my constraints are not satisfied (I think somewhere in the range of 20-30 different occurances) I have a read a lot online already about using reference LINES instead of reference PLANES when adding it angle parameters but I don't full understand the method behind it. Just looking for some help in this issue to see if someone has come across a similar problem, and how the fixed the situation. Also I am working in Revit 2015. I have attached the file that I'm working with below (I am still new to Revit modeling so excuse any poorly made parameters or processes)

Excuse the bad grammar. The text box was acting up and I had a hard time trying to proof read it.

What you have read is correct.... you must use ref lines - not planes for this.
Download the families guide from the autodesk site. It is rather old but still clearly shows how this works.

WWHub, do I need to constrain my extrusions to the reference lines as well then? Because as far as I'm aware you can't lock dimensions to reference lines, which would effect the family in such a way that it still wouldn't work correctly.

Study the guide.....then ask questions.
