This isn't too big of a deal, as we don't print out any 3D renderings of our buildings, but whenever I have a plate in the face of a wall for a connection, it's not really visible when in 3D, but when you rotate the building it will sort of dither in and out. I was just wondering if there's a way to make these appear as they will when they're made; with the face of the plates being visible.

Are you saying that the face of the plate is flush with the wall?
If so, then your problem is two materials in the same place. You can add a void to the plate family if it is face based and have the void cut the host back. A second alternative is to cheat and have the plate be a little proud of the wall.

Yes it's flush with the wall. So I could just add a small void the same dimensions as the plate and then cut it from the host? I'll try it out.

Be careful while in the family because the void will try to cut your model geometry first. Make the void off to the side first and set it to cut the host, then edit the void to place it in the right place.
